Biological Practitioners
What Is Biological Medicine & Dentistry?
Biological Medicine is the science, practice, and art of maintaining health and healing, applicable to each human body, regardless of the illness. We don’t believe in masking symptoms or fogging the senses to create a sense of false well being. Biomedicine has a simple objective: identify the source of the disorder, imbalance, or weakness and weakness in the human regulatory system and heal the whole body.
Biological Medicine is an Amalgamation
of Science and Ancient Wisdom
Biological Medicine is by no means a new age philosophy, but one that has been used and refined for thousands of years by some of history’s greatest medical masters. Its very foundation is based on physiology and the body’s processes down to the cellular level. However, as times have changed and technology advances, so the healing modalities of biological medicine and dentistry have adapted to encompass the most effective technologies and tools as adjuncts to the core of our principles.
Biological Medicine & The Healing Effects
When a physician is capable of integrating many healing modalities, the combination thus leaves the door open for the full reinstatement of an individual’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Our practitioners each offer varying specialities which include but are not limited to Functional/Integrated/Naturopathic medicine, Conventional Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, Orthomolecular medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, Physiotherapy, Homeopathic medicine, Herbalism, traditional detoxification protocols, biological dentistry, mind-body connection, philosophy, lymphatic drainage, electromagnetic stimulation, toxicology, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, reiki, touch therapy, hydrotherapy, other physical therapies, and of course technological therapies. It is a true understanding that
With the combination of these healing arts, we are able to identify dis-function in the biological processes of the body, and allow the body to restore itself. In this case, the body does not need to express itself with the discomfort of “symptoms”. Biological medicine requires an understanding of the complexity and the simplicity of human health and dis-ease. It understands the role of our environment from the womb into our surroundings, the chemical bombardment we face from around us and from within through everything we consume, and helps us to clear and detoxify our spaces and our bodies.. It is about the human landscape and why the body was not able to fight off a particular pathogen or cancer cell, the way it was designed to do – and how to re-establish that ability.
SAABP empowers practitioners and the public in their search for knowledge and guidance.
It is integral for the practitioner practicing biological medicine/dentistry to have a full understanding of the above principles and sciences in order to provide the most comprehensive treatment options for the patient...
It is a true understanding that every organ system is interconnected and its health vital in overall health. It is a thorough understanding of the gut system and its intimate relationship to the immune system and the brain:
- The Enteric nervous system lining the gut contains 100 million neurons, which is more than the spinal cord or peripheral nervous system
- 90% of serotonin receptors and 50% of dopamine receptors are in the gut – thus the cross-talk between the gut and the brain has multiple effects on moods, depression, anxieties, affect, motivation, decision making and higher brain.
- The Bacterial colonies residing in your gut play key roles in the development of the brain, behavioural and emotional issues: from depression to ADHD; autism to schizophrenia. They also play a role in leaky gut, allergies, metabolic issues, diabetes, weight gain and hormonal balance.
- Thus the role of maintaining gut health and the role of nutrition, form pivotal roles in overall health.
This not only takes a very scientific mind, but also a naturally gifted intuitive practitioner who has a true innate desire to assist his/her fellow human being
In using the term Biological Dentistry, we are not attempting to stake out a new specialty for dentistry but rather to describe a philosophy that can apply to all facets of dental practice and to health care in general: Always seek the safest, least toxic way to accomplish the mission of treatment, all the goals of modern dentistry, and do it while treading as lightly as possible on the patient’s biological terrain. A more biocompatible approach to oral health is the hallmark of biological dentistry. We operate according to the belief system that your teeth are an integral part of your body and hence your overall health, and recognize that your oral and dental health can have a major influence on other disease processes in your body. It is an understanding that the mouth and the body are intimately connected; that the mouth is the opening of the gut system, which has been identified as the second brain and integral to overall health. More than 90% of all systemic diseases have oral manifestations, meaning that the dentist can play an integral role in early detection and appropriate referral.
